Women in Securities Finance Announces Two Additional New York Chapter Leads

WISF is pleased to announce the addition of two New York Chapter leads: Elaine Hannigan of Scotiabank (Director, Prime Services) and Megan Fritz of Barclays (Chief of Staff, Liquid Financing). 

Elaine and Megan will be joining Nancy Allen, Head of EquiLend Data and Analytics Solutions, who has been leading the New York Chapter of WISF since March 2023.

Elaine and Megan bring a wealth of securities finance and leadership experience to the table and share a vested interest in furthering WISF’s mission through the New York Chapter as long-term supporters.

Elaine is currently Director in the Prime Services group at Scotiabank, with prior roles at Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. An Alum of Vassar College and NYU Stern School of Business, her experience spans EMEA, APAC and LatAm with 8 years living in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Always seeking to support women, she founded and co-chairs the Working Parents Group, an employee resource group at Scotiabank in the US.

Megan has recently joined Barclays as Chief of Staff for Liquid Financing. Her prior roles include Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Bank of America. An Alum of Georgetown and NYU Stern School of Business, she serves as Board Co-President of the Children’s Museum of the East End which regularly runs events to support the needs of children.

Founded by Elaine (Elaina) Kim Benfield (Vanguard), Arianne M. Collette (Morgan Stanley) and Jill Rathgeber (BNY Mellon) in 2018, the mission of Women in Securities Finance is to create a community to foster connections and promote the advancement of women in the securities finance industry.

WISF Chapters and Members

The group was formed in early 2018, and has expanded to form chapters in New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and London. Women in Securities Finance (WISF) is open to all members of the Securities Finance community. Our members represent all facets of the industry, including trading, sales, relationship management, legal, technology, product development, operations, portfolio management. All are welcome.
